The fiber is clean, beautiful in color, and free from mold spots. Biomass fuels may be derived from many sources, including forestry products and residue, agriculture residues, food processing wastes, and municipal and urban wastes. The waste produced by our cities, farms and industries represents a vast energy resource that, if tapped, could avert much of the need for energy crops.
